Unit Name: Managing OHS Systems [E]

Description: This course is designed to provide students the working knowledge and understanding that covers the establishment and maintenance of the OHS Management System (OHSMS) in resources and infrastructure industries at all levels, in order to meet legislative requirements and to ensure that the workplace is, so far as is practicable, safe without risks to everyone at work. It includes establishing and maintaining the framework of the system; participative arrangements for the management of OHS, procedures for identifying hazard, assessing risk and treating risks; organizational procedures for dealing with unplanned inicidents,training programmeme; a system for OHS record, planning and preparing for the implementation of the system.
