Unit Name: Confined Space
Description: This course is designed to provide students the knowledge of Confined Spaces with an in-depth understanding of the requirements of the law, associated legislation, Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments. This course includes competent use of appropriate Confined Space Equipment and assessments covering access, egress and safe working practices in Confined Spaces.
Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, you should be able to: 1. Understand the responsibilities of the person who designs, manufactures, supplies and modifies confined spaces. 2. Illustrate hazard identification, risk assessment and control processes. 3. Describe the entry permit requirements. 4. Demonstrate the rescue arrangement systems for confined spaces. 5. Relate the significance of providing information and relevant training.
