Unit Name: Working At Heights

Description: This course offers a variety of assessment criteria which enhance the ability of the individuals to comply with the Regulations by providing them with the necessary information needed to be able to successfully deal with working at height risks and control measures. This includes an understanding of how to undertake a working at height risk assessment, how to use access equipment safely and how to ensure that employees can reduce their risk of falls from height.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, you should be able to: 1. Discuss common working at height tasks and understand the associated risks. 2. Illustrate the factors that contribute to persons and objects falling from a height. 3. Describe the control measures to reduce the risk of falls from height. 4. Understand the proper use of access equipment and safe methods of access to reduce or eliminate the risk of falls. 5. Relate the roles of the architects and building designers.
