Unit Name: Research Project in Specialty Practice

Description: The master’s project is an assessable component of the program. It allows the students to explore an area of interest in some depth. This is a supervised project where the students will independently develop a topic in an extended piece of work between 10 000 and 15 000 words. The project may be a clinical audit, a professional development project or a range of alternative projects which can be negotiated. The development of the project aims to build on the students existing abilities to critique professional practice; articulate and analyse the literature; and synthesis and implement a project to contribute to the development of professional practice.
