Unit Name: Fitting and Welding

Description: This course? builds further on knowledge and skills gained in MWT553 and MWT653 and the main focus will be on designs, creating new projects, construction of the designed projects, analysis of existing projects and designs and how to solve designs and practical problems with the challenges of constructing the projects with making use of the fitting and machining skills and also Welding and Fabricating skills reinforced by sand casting, heat treatment of metals, threading and forging and other related metal skills associated with the different metalworking basic hand and electrical portable tools. Field trips to relevant companies and industrial sites and new development sites to be organized to enhance all the theories and practical?s covered during the Trimesters.?
