Description: This course aims to help students further expand their acquire knowledge and practical skills relating to metalworking techniques. It is designed to consolidate and enhance previously acquired competencies and assist students develop new skills, which will enabled them as future teachers to impart metalworking skills and techniques to Fiji Secondary School level. The course emphasizes applied workshop practices and project work with a view to the acquisition of metalworking and project assessment skills identified by the secondary school applied technology curriculum. The Metal Techniques and Engineering 2 course combines, both lectures and practical workshop sessions, but has an emphasis on teaching workshop practice and project work. Students are encouraged to identify, utilize and combine different teaching strategies and resources to assist with the selection, consolidation and implementation of applied teaching styles for metalworking techniques and continuous project assessment techniques.???
