Unit Code: MTH908
Unit Name: Inverse Problems
Description: Inverse problems are of paramount importance and can be found in virtually all science and engineering disciplines with a broad range of applications. This course will introduce inverse problems\' mathematical and computational aspects and strategies to their numerical solution. Topics covered include numerical treatment of ill-posed problems, generalized inverses, regularization techniques, techniques for solving linear and nonlinear inverse problems, and optimal parameter estimation. The course will consider applications in data and physical sciences and will be a combination of practical exercises (computing using MATLAB) and analysis.
