Unit Name: M.Sc. Major Research Project in Mathematics (Part Time)

Description: This course involves writing a major thesis, i.e. a coherent written exposition of a chosen topic within the field of mathematics. The topic of the project is decided by the supervisor together with the student. The project allows the student to make practical use of the knowledge gained through their graduate program and to learn to work independently. An essential part of the course consists of producing a written report (major thesis) with scientific qualities and an oral presentation of the project work. The duration of this major project is one full academic year.
