Unit Name: Coding Theory and Cryptography

Description: The course provides the students with the knowledge of Algebra, Number Theory,Coding Theory and Cryptography that will help them built an in-depth understanding of the design and operation concepts of Coding Theory and Cryptography and at the same time acquire analytical skills to analyse and solve mathematical problems in relevant topics. The unit covers coding theory: information theory, linear codes, cyclic codes and geometric codes; Cryptography: Symmetric and public key cryptosystems.
