Description: This course gives in-depth knowledge of sequence and series especially of field axioms, monotone sequences, null sequences, Weierstrass-Bolzano theorem, Cauchy Criterion for convergence. Other topics include Special Subsets of Real Numbers, Limits of functions, Continuous functions on an interval, Derivatives, Riemann Integral and Infinite Series. This course is also a very important starting point for other areas of analysis such as Complex Analysis, Functional Analysis, Harmonic Analysis as well as motivating the development of Topology and as a tool in other areas such as applied mathematics. It will give a good understanding of real numbers and its applications.
