Unit Name: Preliminary Mathematics II

Description: The course revisits and consolidates various concepts learnt up to Year 11 level.

Learning Target Outcomes: As a result of successfully completing this course, the student will be able to: 1. Demonstrate the concepts of coordinate geometry 2. Describe the transformation of 2x2 matrices and find inverse transformations 3. Compute the measures of central tendencies and dispersion 4. Draw probability tree and calculate simple probabilities with and without replacement 5. Report using the normal distribution table and compute the z-score 6. Exercise differential and integral techniques to differentiate and integrate polynomial functions and solve application problems
