Unit Name: Research Project

Description: The purpose of this course is to provide students with an understanding of the nature of the problem to be studied and identify the related area of knowledge, and with skills in conducting a research project and an understanding of the ethical issues associated with conducting research. Students will develop skills to collect, analyse and synthesise research findings and effective comminication of research findings.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Carry out an intensive literature review to address the research question. 2. Provide information of the findings of the literature review. 3. Conduct data collection and communicate progress. 4. Analyse results using appropriate data analysis techniques 5. Submit the final research report for examination. 6. Present the research report.
