Unit Name: Event Marketing

Description: This course has been designed for students who would like to start a career in the field of Event Management. Its main aim is to develop students’ skills and knowledge in managing Festival and Special event in order to stage successful events. It is a subject that provides students with skills and knowledge in order to efficiently and effectively manage facilities and venues and organise a wide range of special events in this highly competitive environment.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1.2.1 Discuss the role of stakeholder in an event 1.2.2 Apply the concepts of marketing, sponsorship and budgeting to Events. 1.2.3 Analyse the importance of OHS in events and security 1.2.4 Appraise the challengers or issues relating to Human resource in the event 1.2.5 Demonstrate the staging of an event according to its constituent elements. 1.2.6 Discuss the risk management in festivals and special events.
