Unit Name: Medical Imaging Capstone
Description: This capstone course enables students to tackle real clinical challenges in medical imaging or healthcare by conducting a structured review of existing evidence. Students will identify a relevant problem, gather information systematically from credible sources, and critically analyze the findings to make informed and practical recommendations. The course emphasizes the importance of synthesizing information in a coherent manner to address gaps in practice or improve patient outcomes. Students will refine their skills in research, communication, and reflection, producing a high-quality review and presenting their findings in a professional format suitable for academic or clinical application.
Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, the students will be able to: 1. Identify a suitable topic and obtain evidence from reliable sources. 2. Evaluate and synthesize information from sources. 3. Compose a comprehensive literature review of publishable quality, suitable for submission to an identified local or international journal. 4. Present findings effectively using presentations. 5. Reflect on personal and peer performance to identify improvements.
