Unit Name: Professional Practice III

Description: This is the final course in the three part series of clinical courses in the program. Students will be offered rotation through different hospitals and specialized imaging modalities focusing on advanced applications of medical imaging. Students will learn to function as medical imaging scientists with minimal supervision.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, the students will be able to: 1. Conduct routine medical imaging investigations independently and advanced medical imaging examinations under minimal supervision. 2. Demonstrate high level of competency in communicating information to patients and communicating information/ scientific knowledge effectively and appropriately to members of the healthcare team. 3. Demonstrate independent judgment in solving clinical problems for radiological diagnosis. 4. Practice high level radiation safety principles. 5. Critically reflect on examination outcomes.
