Unit Name: Imaging Pathology

Description: This course explores the pathological basis of diseases and their imaging manifestations. Students will study disease processes, clinical symptoms, and the use of multiple imaging modalities for diagnosis. Recent advancements in imaging technology and their effectiveness in diagnosing pathologies are also covered. Written tests and practical evaluations ensure students can correlate imaging findings with clinical contexts.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Apply correct pathological terminology to describe disease processes. 2. Explain the pathogenesis of common pathologies affecting body systems. 3. Correlate clinical signs and symptoms with imaging findings by selecting appropriate imaging modalities. 4. Investigate pathological conditions using multiple imaging modalities and critical thinking. 5. Evaluate the effectiveness of imaging modalities in diagnosing pathologies. 6. Discuss recent advancements in imaging technologies for detecting pathological conditions.
