Unit Name: Clinical Practice in Medical Imaging

Description: This course integrates theoretical knowledge with hands-on clinical practice. Students will perform imaging procedures, manage contrast media, evaluate image quality, and apply radiation safety principles. Effective communication, ethical practice, and cultural competence are emphasized. Assessments include case-based exams, reflective journals, and OSCEs to ensure students are well-prepared for professional clinical settings.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Assess radiological request forms to justify imaging procedures. 2. Perform imaging procedures, modifying techniques as needed. 3. Apply radiation and health safety principles in all imaging aspects. 4. Manage contrast media administration and reactions. 5. Evaluate images for diagnostic quality. 6. Demonstrate effective communication skills with patients and professionals. 7. Apply professional codes of conduct, ethics and practice.
