Unit Code: MIS515
Unit Name: Human Anatomy and Physiology of the Neuroendocrine and Visceral Systems
Description: This course explores the anatomy and physiology of the nervous, gastrointestinal, urinary, endocrine, and reproductive systems. Students will identify normal anatomical variations, analyze how these systems work together to maintain homeostasis, and interpret related structures in radiographic images. Assessments include written tests and practical exams, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of these complex systems and their clinical relevance.
Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Describe the structure and functions of the nervous, gastrointestinal, urinary, endocrine, and reproductive systems. 2. Identify normal anatomical variations in these systems. 3. Explain how these systems interact to maintain homeostasis. 4. Identify anatomical structures related to these systems in planar radiographic images.
