Description: Knowledge management (KM) is gaining increasing importance as a catalyst for gaining competitive advantage in the highly competitive global business environment. This unit will look at the basic concepts, tools and techniques in the domain of KM. Knowledge Management processes, Knowledge Management strategies, Knowledge Management infrastructure requirements, and Knowledge Management assessment will also be discussed. In addition, Information technologies for KM such as Expert systems, Case Based Reasoning, Information Retrieval, Data Mining, Data Warehouse, Wiki, Search Engine, Web Portal, etc.
