Unit Name: Broadcast Journalism

Description: The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the history and principles of broadcast journalism. It trains students in producing texts for radio and television, researching stories and features, and engaging with various stakeholders. The course provides the opportunity for students to learn basic journalistic and technological skills to be used in career choices and radio & television productions. Students will research, gather, and analyze information to create audio & video productions for broadcast to a variety of audiences.

Prerequisite Sentence: Pass in Fiji Year 13 Examination or Certificate IV in Media and Journalism or equivalent.
