Unit Name: Welding Process and Practice

Description: This Unit offers Practical Knowledge in which students will learn basics skills and knowledge related to cutting and welding applications. Course content includes safe practices, career research, leadership development, and basic arc welding, Metal Inert Gas, Tungsten Inert Gas and thermal gas brazing and cutting skills.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, Students should be able to: 1. Exercise safety during welding. 2. Relate knowledge of the operation of the GTAW machine and GMAW machine. 3. Exercise in performing oxy-acetylene welding, electric arc welding, cutting and brazing.
