Unit Name: Grammar of Language

Description: The course adopts a simple and direct approach to grammar, and leads students from traditional to modern approaches based on linguistic principles. The course will create awareness of prescriptive and descriptive grammar. It will cover topics on word formation, phrase structure, components of sentences and sentence structure. It will also include functions of tenses and grammatical agreement.
