Unit Name: Law and Business

Description: This Course has been designed for postgraduate students who are interested in understanding the compliance and practice of business law in emerging countries like Fiji. This Course will first introduce the legal system in Fiji and the various types, nature and sources of law. This Course will then provide students an overview of business law compliance and practice in developed countries, giving particular emphasis to Australian business law and relating it to Fiji Islands. The Course intends to reason and interpret situations of the past in order to improve and propose the need for changes in existing laws. Furthermore, the Course provides students with the analytical ability to understand some current limitations of business law compliance and practice in Fiji.
