Unit Name: Trusts & Equity I

Description: This course provides an introduction to the law of trusts, including the doctrine of equity, the nature of the trust relationship, the duties of trustees and rights of trust beneficiaries, the ways in which trusts may be created, varied, and ended, trusts for charitable and non-charitable purposes, and breach of trust and its consequences. The Course will also analyse in detail the legislations like Trustee Act, cap 65; Course Trust Act cap 228; Trust Accounts Act, 1996; National Trust for Fiji Act cap 265; Caritable Trust Act cap 67 etc along with important case laws.
