Unit Name: Printmaking II

Description: This unit examines the ability of students to develop their Vision, understanding of the aesthetics of Fine Arts and how it differs from the craft and design. The technical perfection comes with practice and guidance hence students devote time fully to developing these skills under the guidance of the mentors. The course will strengthen student's knowledge of base material required, techniques used and the machinery used in printmaking thus they acquire skills needed to become an acclaimed artist and be able to teach the same. Fijian traditional motifs are used to produce original concepts. Topics covered will include theoretical and practical components in identifying the different material that may be used alternatively and what they can use for the best results. This is a 100% coursework unit.
