Unit Name: Print Making 1

Description: This course introduces students to the contemporary term ?Print Making?. This term extends from such as thumb print , block print to other print making techniques. Students will be guided through a structural programme which includes historical, cultural and conceptual aspects of printmaking. This study will enable the student to recognize the major printing and layout techniques for the production and dissemination of ideas. Basic elements of Art and principles of design will be stressed within printed compositions. A variety of printmaking techniques will be utilized.
