Unit Name: Leisure and Nature Based Adventure Tourism

Description: This course will provide students with an insight to Nature-Based Tourism. Students will acquire in depth knowledge and skills through research about Ecotourism, Nature-Based Tourism, Conservation, and Resource Management. It will provide opportcourseies for students to explore the impacts and importance of Nature-Based Tourism both at National and International level. It will focus on the current issues and trends that have direct impact on the industry?s performance in the South Pacific Islands nations. Through our internship programme, students will be exposed to the practicalities of working in the Tourism Industry mainly in the South Pacific Island nations in areas such as Ecotourism, Conservation, Resource Management and Nature-Based Tourism.
