Unit Name: Managing Health Communication, Relationship and Professional Development

Description: This course is designed to provide students with the ability to align personal and organizational conduct with ethical and professional standards that include a responsibility to the patient, community, a service orientation, and a commitment to lifelong learning and improvement.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, the students will be able to : 1. Develop and practice professionalism as a health service manager. 2. Demonstrate knowledge of the profession and professional development. 3. Develop an understanding of the management of health information. 4. Develop the art of an effective communication, risk communication and negotiation in healthcare organization. 5. Utilise best practices on relationship management in healthcare organization. 6. Apply best practice to manage conflicts and problems within the healthcare organization. 7. Provide better understanding of the health professional social responsibility.
