Unit Name: Healthcare Leadership and Management

Description: This course is designed to provide students with the overview of healthcare management and leadership and the roles of the healthcare manager, the ability to inspire individual and organizational excellence, the ability to create a shared vision and successfully manage change to attain a healthcare organization\\\'s strategic ends and successful performance.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, the students will be able to: 1. Explain the role of health care managers and distinguishing it from their leadership roles at all levels of management in the health care. 2. Plan for a better resources utilization in healthcare and appropriate development of people through better judgement and practical wisdom. 4. Demonstrate working partnerships by engaging communities and the ability to work with health teams. 5. Evaluate the performance of health services to improve the quality of health care and the addressing of high-level strategic collaboration with key stakeholders. 7. Plan using evidence-based research findings for decision making. 8. Apply management and leadership competencies for better health care management.
