Description: Importance and current status of vegetable in Fiji and world, constraints, and Role in nutrition, vegetable gardens. Study of tools and implements. Container- Their types, Factor affecting growth, development and yield of vegetable crops. nursery management, cropping system. Package and practice of Tropical root crops, cole crops root crops, bulb crops,, ginger, tumeric, Leguminous , cucurbits, leafy vegetables. Importance of ornamental gardens, planning of ornamental gardens, types and styles of ornamental gardens. Importance of trees, shrubs, climbers, palms, house hold and seasonal flowers in the garden. package of practices related to production of Rose, Jasmine,chrysanthemum, crossandra,mary gold and tuberose, Gladiolus & Carnation.
