Unit Name: Housekeeping Operations

Description: This course presents a systematic approach to managing housekeeping operations and provides a thorough overview, from the big picture of maintaining a quality staff, planning and organizing, to the technical details of cleaning each area of the hospitality facility. Through internship programme, students should be able to explore issues influencing the growth and development of the Hotel and Catering Industry. Students throughout the internship programme are required to develop their own leadership styles consistent with a Certificate, Diploma and Degree level qualifications.

Prerequisite: N/A

Prerequisite Sentence: The student must have passed Fiji Year 13 Certificate Examinationform Seven [7] or consent from HOS/HOD. For matured students must have relevant 3years industry experience or equivalent.
