Unit Name: Colour and Design

Description: The purpose of this unit is to provide a foundation for those specializing in working in a Salon. Furthermore it will equip you with the skills and knowledge to work efficiently in the industy as a qualified hairdresser.This Unit offers the different techniques of colouring and the effects of permanent, semi permanent and temproray colours on the hair shaft. In addition to understand colour usage on different type of hair, the effects of chemical lightener on the hair shaft and the process of neutralizing unwanted tones and to advice clients on colouring services and take home products.

Prerequisite Sentence: Certificate II in Hairdressing, 2-3 years industry experience or 50% English pass (year 11)
