Unit Name: Introduction to Human Biology

Description: This unit offers learners the opportunity to establish knowledge of the normal physiology of cell, tissue, and skeletal, muscular, blood-cardiovascular and respiratory organ systems.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, the students will be able to : 1. Describe normal cell structure and physiology. 2. Describe tissue - structural features, classification and specific examples. 3. Describe skin, aging and wound healing 4. Describe normal bone structure and physiology. 5. Describe normal muscular system 6. Describe normal blood physiology 7. Describe normal vascular structure and physiology 8. Describe normal heart structure and physiology 9. Describe normal structure and physiology of the renal system
