Role of plasma membrane, Function of cell organelles. Cell division-Mitosis and meiosis, Mitotic and Meiotic cell division and its significance, Molecular changes during cell division. Mutations and applications in agriculture, Gene mutations, Chromosomal mutation, Methods of inducing mutation and its application in crop improvement. Chromosome- Theory, Structure and functions. Nucleic acids and significance, Nucleic acids-DNA, RNA, Structure and types of nucleic acids, Functions of nucleic acids and significance.
