Description: This Unit will introduce the students to the principal legislation and regulations in Fiji that must be conformed with when carrying out mineral resource activities. These activities include exploration of and exploitation of mineral resources as well as ongoing monitoring and reporting requirements. This legislation includes but is not restricted to the Mining Act, Quarries Act, Environmental Management Act and the functions of their related implementing authorities,
