Description: This Unit offers the students an introduction to the ?Rock Cycle.? And the recognition of rocks and minerals. The hand specimen physical and chemical properties of common minerals in rocks, and minerals of economic importance are covered. A local 1-day field excursion will be undertaken and reported on.
