Unit Name: Digital Fabric Textile Design & Fashion Illustration Skills

Description: The Fabric Textile Design and fashion illustration skills program introduces Learners to design methods that inspire original textile art pattern concepts in fashion or cooperate wear. Leaners explore and compile inspirational textile design art theme concepts that capture the essence of modern trends in screen printed or sublimation printed fabric art that?s integrated into fashion wear. Techniques in Mood board formatting, fashion illustration, integrated with computer assisted applications are used to produce digital textile patterns and fashion ranges that is suited for industrial production purposes. The course emphasis applied studio practice and project work with a view to the attainment of Fabric Textile art Design and fashion illustration skills.

Prerequisite: N/A

Prerequisite Sentence: Successful completion of GAD421, GAD422, GAD423, GAD424 units, or on the basis of maturity above the age limit of 21 years with 2 year work experience in a creative design industry, or prior learning based on submission of a personal authentic print/digital Graphic arts and Design assessment portfolio simulating the minimum benchmark standards pertaining to the program unit structure with a high level of English comprehension reviewed endorsed by the program facilitator .
