Unit Name: FTV Secondary Editing & Sound Designing

Description: Creative and aesthetic aspects of editing Begin to develop the knowledge and the ability to apply the elements of visual language. Organizational and interactive aspects of editing how to effectively respond to health, safety and ethical issues. Explore and analyze collaborative, communication and self-management skills in the workplace. The technical and operational knowledge and skills aspects of editing Introduce basic knowledge, skills and awareness in the use of editing and related equipment. Develop basic operational skills of Final Cut Pro.

Learning Target Outcomes:

Prerequisite: N/A

Prerequisite Sentence: Successful completion of Sixth Form or equivalence (12 years of continuous progression) or equivalent. Applicants may also be admitted to Certificate IV in Film & Television program who may not meet the 12 years of continuous progression requirement, but who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in programs at these levels on the basis of maturity, work experience, or prior learning.
