Unit Name: FTV Basics of Script Writing

Description: This course deals with the introduction of the fundamentals of Screenplay Writing for Films, TV serials, Documentaries, Ad Films & Song / Music Videos. This course will inform students? basics of all the different skills and techniques involved in Film & TV Screenplay writing needed to develop an Idea to Story to Script. It will teach students to weigh and choose stories & subjects that are principally & Ethically right and good in Governance. Finally, Screenplay Writing is all about quick and effective Communication and the course teaches the scientific approach to all this.

Learning Target Outcomes:

Prerequisite: N/A

Prerequisite Sentence: Successful completion of Sixth Form or equivalence (12 years of continuous progression) or equivalent. Applicants may also be admitted to Certificate IV in Film & Television program who may not meet the 12 years of continuous progression requirement, but who are able to demonstrate their ability to succeed in programs at these levels on the basis of maturity, work experience, or prior learning.
