Unit Name: Hotel Reservation Procedures

Description: A reservation in the context of the Front Office of a hotel means the booking or reserving of an accommodation by a guest, and involves a particular type of guest ? room being reserved for a particular person or persons, for a certain period of time. This unit will explore the four phases of the guest cycle and the various types of transactions and services involved in each phase. It examine the major activity in reservation [ Pre Arrival Phase] and is usually the first occasion when the guest and hotel interact.
