Unit Name: Front Office Software Applications

Description: A hotel?s property management system (PMS) is the major source of information collection in every hotel. PMS collects and reports data in ways that drive the management-planning and decision-making processes in the front office department and throughout the hotel. This unit examines the function of the PMS in detail. PMS summarize historical information of guest which enables the hotel to forecast future activities. This allows them to improve the tactics used to manage reservations, room types and room status and in the process, to increase revenue, and maintain basic hotel records and storing many of the hotel?s accounting transaction.

Prerequisite Sentence: The student must have passed Fiji Year 12 Certificate Examination (Form 6) or consent from HOD.
