Description: This course helps to develop students? skills and knowledge in the analytical framework and real-world applications and introduces the key principles and techniques of successful mergers, acquisitions,?divestitures and leveraged buyouts. Mergers and acquisitions are undertaken by companies to achieve certain strategic and financial objectives. They involve the bringing together of two organizations with often disparate corporate personalities, cultures and value systems. This course allows students to develop a critical appreciation of the key finance criteria in a proposed acquisition, so as to grasp the main strengths and risks of the company\\\'s strategic and financial alternatives.?
