Unit Name: Introduction to Ethics and Governance

Description: This course is designed to introduce you to ethics, in the sense of moral philosophy. It is a study of what is right and what is wrong?what we ought to do and what we ought not to do. Guided by moral principles, these judgments or decisions are made in people\'s professional and personal lives. 12 topics will be covered (one topic per week) as listed below. Flexibility is given to lecturers to select materials relevant to students\' particular academic disciplines (e.g. Agriculture, Commerce, Creative arts, Engineering, Hotel Management and Tourism, Sports, etc.). Handouts of local materials like newspaper articles, photographs, short documentary films, are included in our Resource Materials\'.

Prerequisite: N/A

Prerequisite Sentence: The student must have passed Form 6, have fluency in English and met MQR for programme enrolled in.
