Unit Name: Learning English as a Second Language – Intermediate Level

Description: ESL - Intermediate level two encompasses two levels within this course: the intermediate level and the upper-intermediate level. At the intermediate levels, students should understand and speak simple, high-frequency words that are used routinely in social and academic settings. For writing tasks, they should write on topics that are familiar and use simple, high-frequency words. At the upper intermediate level, students should work independently in various academic and non-academic settings in English, though with some limitations in detail and accuracy.
