Unit Name: Field Project (Compulsory)

Description: This course is designed to give the student an opportunity to conduct an environmental research project and gain experience as a first time researcher. This course involves an investigation into a scientific or technological problem where the student develops skills in experimental design; literature searching; the collection, treatment, interpretation and reporting of results. The unit allows students to design and perform original research in environmental science. The project will be captured in a thesis that will be a detailed written report on a research carried out independently by individual students over one trimester in the third year of BSc degree.
