Unit Name: Engineering Science

Description: The overall purpose of this course is to provide the foundation in the non-electrical areas of engineering science required by all electrical engineering paraprofessionals, irrespective of their area of specialization. This course reviews and extends the coverage of some of the basic scientific principles which were taught in High School and develops skills in the application of these principles in an engineering context.In the delivery of this course, emphasis will be placed on the integration of the ?theoretical? and ?practical? aspects of basic electro technology, through the use of appropriate laboratory based exercises.
