Unit Name: Electrical Measurements and Components

Description: The overall purpose of the MEASUREMENTS section of the course is to develop skills, in the use of electrical instruments and electrical measurement techniques, which are required by all electrical engineering paraprofessionals, irrespective of their area of specialization.The overall purpose of the COMPONENTS section of the course is to develop an understanding of the construction, characteristics and applications of the basic components common to all areas of electrical engineering. In the delivery of this course, appropriate laboratory based exercises will be used to ensure the integration of the ?theoretical? and ?practical? aspects of the unit.
