Unit Name: Digital Electronics II

Description: This is the second of two courses, the overall purpose of which is to provide students with an understanding of the basic principles of digital electronics and to develop skills in the use of instruments and measurement techniques to evaluate the performance of digital devices and circuits. This course is mainly concerned with device families, MSI devices, A/D & D/A conversion and display devices. In the delivery of this course, emphasis will be placed on integrating the ?theoretical? and ?practical? aspects of digital electronics, with particular attention being given to prototype circuit construction and testing.
