Unit Name: Digital Electronics I

Description: This is the first of two courses, the overall purpose of which is to provide students with an understanding of the basic principles of Digital Electronics and to develop skills in the use of instruments and measurement techniques to evaluate the performance of Digital Devices and circuits. This course is mainly concerned with basic Logic Functions & Gates, Flip Flops and Combinational Logic and Sequential Logics. In the delivery of this course, emphasis will be placed on integrating the ?theoretical? and ?practical? aspects of Electronics, with particular attention being given to Prototype circuit simulation ? using a current software, construction and testing.
