Unit Name: Electrical Measurement & Components

Description: The purpose of the Measurements section of this course is to further develop skills in the use of electrical instruments and measurement techniques, with particular emphasis on the testing of AC circuits. The purpose of the component section of the course is to develop an understanding of the construction, characteristics and applications of the basic passive components used in electronics. This course is also intended to support the course, Electrical Principles 2, through laboratory assignments which involve the evaluation of AC circuits.
